Hess, Carl, J., age 97, of Fort Lee, on January 6, 2017. Survived by his beloved wife Rhea Hess (nee: Silberstein). Loving father of David Hess. The family will receive their friends on Sunday, January 7 at 11 AM at Eden Memorial Chapels, 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”. Interment to follow at Cedar Park Cemetery. Rhea and David, It’s been a very long time since we have seen each other, but upon seeing Carl’s obituary in the paper this morning I was whisked back to a happier time, hanging out at your house with you and David. I remember spending many a fun day there, and I can still picture your house. I went back to temple in Fort Lee one night several years ago, and to my delight there was Carl, as usual. I felt as if time had stood still, seeing him there, and he knew who I was, even after all the years that had gone by. I wanted to extend my sympathies for your loss.
