Gabriel Szriftgiser

Born in:
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Resided in:
Fort Lee, New Jersey
It’s impossible to sum up the life of Gabriel Szriftgiser in a short obituary. On June 7th, 2024, Gabriel left this earth at the age of 68. He was a massive presence, full of love, life, and joy. He was hysterically funny and everyone’s go-to for life advice. He was devoted to his family, and he was always worrying if everyone was ok.
He died at the airport in Spain, one of his favorite places. He loved to travel and was passionate about his business, but most of all he was a loyal family man and friend.
Gabriel is survived by his beautiful mother and sister, Susana Seivach and Patricia Szriftgiser; his partner of 17 years, Maria deArmas; his beloved daughters that he devoted his life to, Florencia Szriftgiser Norton and Sabrina Szriftgiser; the lights of his life, his grandsons Noah Norton and Ari Norton; and his loving son-in-law and brother-in-law Chris Norton and Barry Horowitz.
We will remember Gaby and his legacy, and honor him every day.

To the memory of our beloved friend Gaby. Now you are enjoying the sea and views of Mount Teide from your island.
We will terribly miss you. You were a great person and friend.
To Gaby our dear friend and relative. Thank you for getting to know you and your dear family. You became a new brother to me. Although with a big physical distance between you and us in Israel, you were always present with your support. We already miss you. Blessed be your memory! Yours, Ruthi, Avi and family.
Having worked and known Gabe for several years he was a true mensch and a good human being. He will be greatly missed by those of us who got to know him thru work. May his memory be a blessing …

The sudden departure of that person we loved is an invitation to look at each other in the eye and embrace our presence in the company and memory of the beloved that left. Zikhronah livrakha.
Gaby, your smile, your good heart, your inspiration, is with us.

Gabe,
You were an icon in the Office Furniture Industry. You were an amazing friend, confidant and mentor to me and many others. You will be missed. My fondest memory is seeing the video of you celebrating after Argentina won the World Cup!
Rest in Peace my friend.
❤️
He had a wonderful father, Santiago Striftgiser z’ll’.
I’m so sorry to learn of Gabe’s passing. He was always so smart, so kind, and so nice to work with. My sincerest condolences to his family.
The heartbreak is intense. Flowy and Sabrina, I am so sorry. I know how much your dad meant to you and likewise, just how much you meant to him. I also extend my deepest heartfelt feelings to the mother of his children, Susana. We all share this sorrow of losing a man who was such a dynamic force in our lives. What we had between us was deep, personal and unique to each of us. He was my husband, my best friend, my rock, my support system, my everything. I will forever hurt in my heart.
