Grace Jacobs

Grace Jacobs passed on June 18, 2021. Beloved daughter to the late Morris and Bella Jacobs. Loving sister to the late Janet Jacobs and Gladys DiGiovine. Adored aunt to Lisa DiGiovine and Craig Sinclair.
She loved Pavarotti, Chanel no. 5 and Fordham University. Today we said goodbye to my amazing Aunt Grace. Grace was a Vice President at a NYC bank for most of her life and broke her own glass ceiling in the 70s as one of the few female bank VPs. She was a forever student with two masters Degrees (one an MBA and one in philosophy) and she continued to attend her beloved Fordham University way past her graduations. She was a lifelong opera lover, a reader, she loved to travel –and in her younger days, she rode horses, skied and danced around on her ice-skates. While in her late 50s she was gifted with roller blades and zoomed around the concourse of her building. Grace was a pistol, a woman who lived by the rules and was unbelievably organized, but mostly she was always there for other people– no crisis was too small. Her generosity and selflessness will be missed, especially by me, her only niece. I lost a small piece of my heart today.
