Jeffrey Segall, 71, passed away April 17, 2024 at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, NJ with family by his side. Jeffrey was born in Brooklyn, NY to Norma and Donald Segall, both deceased. Jeffrey was the oldest of 3 brothers. He is survived by his brother Steven, Steven’s husband Mark and their son Leo, and his brother Mark and his wife Judy and their sons Craig and Neal. Jeffrey was a sweet, kind gentle man who was a great uncle to his 3 nephews and also a godfather to Leo.
Additionally, Jeffrey had a dear close friend, Celeste and her daughter Amanda in Virginia. Celeste was an Administrative Assistant working alongside Jeffrey in the NY accounting firms before moving to Virginia. Celeste and Jeffrey spoke daily. They grew quite close over the years although they lived in different states.
Jeffrey was born in Brooklyn, NY and spent his childhood years, first in Binghamton, NY and later in Poughkeepsie, NY due to family moves. Jeffrey attended Arlington High School and earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting and Finance from The State University of NY at Binghamton.
Upon graduation, Jeffrey worked as a CPA in several accounting firms, and lastly as owner of his own accounting business. He retired in 2019 but continued to keep up with his accounting certifications.
Jeffrey enjoyed traveling and learning about different countries and their people and traditions. His most memorable trips were to Costa Rica and Cuba, and his trip of a lifetime to Israel.
He had accumulated an extensive collection of books, including many on travel, religion, accounting and investing. He also had an interest in the game of poker and had quite a few books on the strategy of the game.
