Landau, Leonard, M., age 102, of Fort Lee, NJ passed peacefully on Wednesday September 13, 2023, three months shy of his 103rd birthday. He was born in New Britain, CT., and later lived in the Bronx, NY. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from The College of the City of New York on February 1, 1942. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII, entering into active service on March 1, 1943 and serving in Northern France and the Rhineland within the office of the Chief of Transportation, where he was based in Paris following its liberation from the Nazis. For his services in France during WWII he received an appointment as Chevalier of the Legion of Honor by the President of the French Republic.

After WWII he started Ace Box Company, which he operated for over 75 years before working as a special Salesman for President Container Co. He never retired, finding too much joy in his work and in the multitude of his athletic, cultural and creative activities, including fishing, sailing, skiing, tennis, competitive billiards, sculpting, and dancing.

Beloved husband of Sydelle, neė: Jacobson. Devoted father of Todd, Joan and Laurence and their spouses, Nikki, Richard and Susan. Devoted grandfather of Noah & Rachel, James, Tom & Alex, Lauren & Hillary, Noah’s spouse Elizabeth, Rachel’s fiancé Michael, James’s spouse Ashley, Lauren’s spouse Ben and Hillary’s spouse Cyrus. Devoted Step-Father of Ivy, Lauren, and Ivy’s spouse Rory. Devoted grandfather of Ruby, Finnegan & Rowan.

Funeral services Friday 11:30 beginning in the Chapel of the Sanctuary of Abraham & Sarah. Interment to follow in Cedar park Cemetery.
