Lila Abraham

Lila Abraham, born June 7, 1930, passed away on October 25, 2023. Lila grew up in upper Manhattan and graduated from George Washington High School. She paid for her business course with babysitting money and became a bookkeeper for the world famous magician, Lou Tannen.

She met her husband, Herbert, through a switch-a-roo with life time friends, Eve and Ralph, who also got married. Lila and Herb were married for 54 wonderful years. Herb and Lila had four children.

Lila lived life to the fullest. She and Herb loved to travel, dance and play tennis. Lila bowled until she was 88 years old and took up balloon volleyball at 92.

She is survived by her three daughters and husbands, Vivian and Larry Hoffman, Gail and Eric Fernandez, Donna and George Friedman (her son, Steven, pre-deceased her); eight grandchildren: Greg (wife Sara), Tracy, Sophia, Alex, Laurel, Mikey, Danny and Caroline; two great grandchildren: Levi and Willa.
