Sandra Lois Bostwick Needle

Sandra (Bostwick) Needle passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 19th, 2020. Born in Everett, MA on August 30, 1937, Sandi spent her early years growing up in Newton, Massachusetts. After studying at Cedar Crest College and graduating from Boston University, she got married and moved to New York to start her family. Later, Sandi called a couple of New Jersey towns home. Most recently Fort Lee, where she lived for over 40 years. She is predeceased by her parents, Ida (Weiner) & Harry Bostwick.
She is survived by her daughter Shari (Rick) Matarazzo and her grandsons, Jesse and Derek. Also, by her sister, Marlene Cortell, niece Stacey Cortell, and her children Tori and Jared Berenstein, nephew Todd (Julie) Cortell, and many generations of cousins:
Roberta (Stephen) Weiner and their children, Melissa (Andy) Janfaza and Adam (Rita) Weiner and, Judy Berman and her son
Mark (Betsy) Berman, Marty (Naomi) Weiner and their daughters, Sara Lynn (Chris) Mainhart and Margie Weiner, Stephen
Weiner and his children, Wendy, Rob (Mara) and Danny Weiner. Norman Weiner, Jimmy (Sally) Weiner, Brad (Jennifer) and David (Rachel) Weiner, Gail (Louis Junior) Milano, Anya Milano, Alexander(Amy) Milano and Alyssa (Jason) Butterfield, and Ellen Raitman. And, of course, all their children. She loved them all dearly and took many precious memories with her.
Sandi was happiest spending time with her family and friends whenever possible, especially her grandsons they were the light of her life and made her very proud! She was truly a special woman who loved the best life had to offer – going out to dinner and to the theater, traveling the world or to visit family. Her style and grace were class personified. However, it paled in comparison to her inner beauty and warm, caring and loving nature. She would do more for others than herself whenever she was able. The one thing that anyone who ever met her will remember is her infectious smile. If you were lucky enough to be gifted with it, you can hold that smile in your heart forever.
In Honor of Sandra, there will be a ‘Celebration of Life” at Eden Memorial Chapel in Fort Lee, NJ on Sunday July 18, 2021 at 1 PM. For information, condolences, or directions please call 201-947-EDEN
