  2. Dear Rosalyn,
I am so sorry for your loss.
Steve was one of my very best friends at The University Buffalo.
We used to have lunch together when we both worked in NYC.
We had a special place that served humongous “prime” hamburgers you had to eat with a knife and a fork.
We lost touch when I moved to California in 1968.
Over the years I tried to find him in Patterson and Teaneck.
I sent a letter to an address I found in Teaneck, and asked them to forward it to Steve if he had a new address.
Not long ago I was able to find that you had a job in a Temple.
When I called, you had recently left but no one knew how to reach you.
Yesterday, I tried again to find Steve and found an OBIT from December 2023.
I was so sad and disappointed that I had not connected with him before his passing.
If you feel up to it, I would love to talk to you about Steve.
    Sincerely,
    Steve Spero
