Irving Blumenthal

Blumenthal, Irving age 93, of River Vale, NJ. formerly of Hackensack and Tenafly, NJ, passed away on November 28, 2017. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 17, 1924 to Sarah and Abraham Blumenthal. He was pre deceased by his brother Sidney (Gail). He served in the U.S Army during WWII as an Infantryman and was awarded the Purple Heart. He subsequently was the owner of NY/NJ Freightways and a loyal and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Bernice Blumenthal. Sons Steven (Karen), of Hackensack, Shelley (Jan) of Blacksburg, VA. and daughter Hillary (Stuart) Komrower of River Vale. Grandchildren Allison, and Sam Komrower and Abraham Blumenthal. Chapel Service Thursday in Temple Sinai, 1 Engle Street, Tenafly, NJ at 11:00 AM.
