Obituary of Edward Ian Green

Edward Greenbaum aka Edward Green, 76, of New York City,  passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019.

He was born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY.

The elder of Ruth and Newton Greenbaum's two sons, Edward is survived by his younger brother Richard, daughter in law Amy, his niece Allison, nephew Matthew and his beloved Bella.

After graduating from A. B. Davis  High School in Mount Vernon NY, Edward joined the Air Force and served honorably in the Air Force Intellegence Division from September 1965 until January 1968.

He then pursued a lifelong career in the voice over business where he quickly rose to the top.

For over 30 years Eddie was the voice over talent for major sporting events (CBS SPORTS...ESPN...NBC...ABC), movie trailers (MIRAMAX...PARAMOUNT...UNIVERSAL) and was the narrator for Discovery Channel, A&E, TLC, HISTORY Channel.

He hosted the ANDY and CLEO awards and was the creator of the Ed Green Voice Over Telecourse.

Eddie will be dearly missed by countless friends, relatives and collegues.  His outrageously crazy and hysterical sense of humor, zest for life, and deep unyielding concern for the well being of his family and friends will never be forgotten and live on in all us who had the privelidge of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
